Inn on the Common is home
to three lovingly restored Federal Houses, each of which
features a number of distinctive guestrooms which have all been
recently redecorated with a fresh coat of paint, decorative
wallpapers, new carpeting and lovely draperies. Rooms are appointed
with private baths and many fine furnishings, including
hand-stitched quilts, artwork and heirloom antiques. Certain
rooms offer the cozy Vermont warmth of a fireplace or
wood-burning stove, and
they all have lovely sitting areas for reading and relaxing. Some
guests try a different room every time they visit, while others
enjoy the "coming home" feeling of staying in the same
room year after year.
To ensure that guests experience a quiet, restful retreat, rooms
are free of noisy distractions like telephones and televisions.
At Inn on the Common, curling up by the fire with a soft quilt
and a good book will provide that much-needed escape from
civilization. If you get a hankering for "busy," the
village of Stowe is just minutes away, chock full of tourist
shops, boutiques, fragrant coffee houses and terrific little
lunch cafés.
Inn on the Common maintains a 100% non-smoking policy in all buildings
and
public areas.
